About The Project
This building, on the outskirts of Chinatown, is not distinctively Chinese, per se, but intrigued me nonetheless. I love the architectural details above the windows and at the roof line; I love how the shape of the awning offsets the door and adds a strong burst of colour to the monotone building; and I love how the strong vertical lines of the clay-coloured area above the door cuts a horizontal swath through the building. This shot captures the strong reflection of the awning in the window of the door - it's a bold silhouette. I like how clearly the street scene is reflected in the window.
