About The Digital Photos

These photographs have all been taken with a digital camera, and then manipulated in some way (usually in Photoshop). Thumbnails 8 through 10 represent the Chinatown series. I have sometimes used these as textural background for other work. Thumbnails 4 through 7 represent a fantasy-scape. These formed a fantasy interior for a 3D video project.

About the Techniques

I used Photoshop and its various tools to crop and enhance the basic photos, but also, to alter them to suit various purposes. For some of these, particularly the "Fantasy Series" represented by thumbnails 4 through 7, I brought out highly saturated colours and also altered the original colours, to create a more fantasy effect. For other photos, I played with combinations of modes and masks and sometimes filters, to get the effect I desired.
